Vilsmeier

The reaction of DMF with either phosgene or phosphorus oxychloride can be used to generate the Vilsmeier reagent. Highly reactive the intermediate is typically not isolated during the manufacture of downstream products in our flexible phosgenation and multi-purpose plants.
